This is a 10-Frame medium super, sometimes referred to as Illinois Super. It has finger joints and comes with pre-drilled nail holes for ease of assembly. You may purchase unassembled or assembled. Frames and foundation sold separately.

The medium super functions as the honey super. It is also commonly used as the second box of a brood chamber, directly above the hive body. The weight full of honey and bees is estimated as 55-65 pounds.

Available in commercial grade or select grade.

Commercial grade will have tight knots, as compared to select grade that has no knots.
