The honey wand may appear to be a simple, decorative tool, but its purpose is far from merely aesthetic. In the world of honey consumption, this humble implement serves a crucial function. And there is a required technique for proper use, and to prevent leaving sticky trail.

1. Dip the honey wand into the honey
2. Pull straight up, staying over the honey container
3. Gently twist or roll the wand between the thumb & index fingers, stopping the drip.
4. Quickly place the wand over the desired food or drink, and pause until the drip returns.
5. Repeat step 3 to stop the drip and return to the original container.

Do not put the wand in a liquid and then return to the honey. Liquid added to honey will cause fermentation.
