It features full-size bellows and both top and bottom grates are welded in place. The top grate is designed to prevent lit fuel from falling out of the smoker and into the hive when used at a steep angle. Additionally, the heavier welded end grate ensures that it doesn't accidentally dump out when you empty ash, and it remains in place to maintain optimal airflow from beneath. The smoker is also surrounded by a protective metal shield. Its larger size allows for extended smoke time between re-fueling, enhancing efficiency during use.
