If you can imagine trying to pour liquid in the small opening of a lip balm tube, you can see the usefulness of the filling tray. Simply snap the top of the tubes in the holes of the tray. The tray holds them sturdy and upright while you fill the tubes. Scraper in included for a clean finished product. Well worth the money.
