Punched feeder lids fit regular mouth jars and are designed to work with the entrance feeders. The lids are placed on a jar containing sugar syrup, at least a 1:1 sugar:water. Then turned upside down into the feeder. The tiny holes will allow the bees to drink the syrup, but will not run out.
It's always nice to have a couple of extra punched lids on hand. You may also like the plastic feeder jars, no worries about breaking a glass jar.
*You may have a small amount of liquid run out when you first turn it upside down. If it continues to run out the holes, your syrup may be too thin.
